Essen, Pécs och Istanbul delar på titeln Europeisk kulturhuvudstad 2010. Själv fick jag under AER´s 25-års jubiléum förra veckan i  Istanbul,  uppleva något av stadens färgstarka och romantiska världsstad. Verkligen något att rekommendera...Istanbul denna stad med sin historia som knutpunkt för den europeiska civilisationen och bro mellan Europa och Mellanöstern.

2014 blir Umeå  kulturhuvudstad i Europa tillsammans med Lettlands huvudstad Riga.
